We took a chance on this new show called Being Human (NOT the BBC version). It's a show about a vampire and werewolf who are friends. They work at a local hospital together (in different fields). Certain circumstances brought them together and they have been friends ever since. The vampire (Aiden) isn't exactly bad, in fact he's against drinking from humans though he slips occasionally. The werewolf (Josh) is timid and awkward but a good guy in general. They decide they want a seemingly "normal" life so they rent a townhouse. When they get into the new place they soon find it to be haunted by a quirky but kind spirit named Sally. She is excited to finally be "seen" and heard by anyone else. She finds out they are superhuman but doesn't mind. They all become friends and the story continues as such. There are vampires that don't appreciate Aidens lifestyle plus in this show vampires hate werewolves so of course that makes things more interesting. I was hooked after the very first episode! The season is over right now but it can still be seen in syndicate on the Syfy channel or probably online. There are many twists in the story from week to week that kept us hanging in there so I bet it would keep you also.
Just a tidbit here, Aiden (Vampire) is played by Sam Witwer who (for gamers and Star Wars fans) is the voice on Darth Vader's apprentice "Starkiller" in the Star Wars Force Unleashed game series! The werewolf is played by Sam Huntington who began in Jungle to Jungle , Fanboys and more recently in Dylan Dog: Dead of Night.
I recommend this show to Sci-Fi lovers, Fantasy fans, those looking for tasteful horror with a mix of humor, or just looking to adventure into an entirely new type of show.
I rated this show: 8.5 of 10!
