My gameplay was on the Xbox 360 Elite and I have no opinion about the PS3 version. We are thrown right back into the swing of things with 2-D fighting and updated graphics! The controls are WAY better which make the special/combos easier to perform. The classic kicks,punches and jabs are all still here along with some new and truly gruesome moves. The story modes are great and very well detailed and played out. I highly recommend the Challenges and Mini Games because they have been a blast so far!
This edition of Mortal Kombat still has the notorious "crossing the line" attitude regarding the move sets. You can impale them, cut them in half, rip out internal organs and continue stomping them into the ground as they lay dying. All the blood, guts and gore are back but will higher resolution! You get to play as your favorite characters (as they never truly die in the world of Mortal Kombat) but you experience them in a whole new light. Mortal Kombat is once again back to teach us how cool Scorpion really is! I used Scorpion throughout my gameplay which I have in all the MK games. He's faster, srtonger and has better finighing moves here.
This is sure to please the hardcore MK fan and satisfy the hand to hand gaming fighters also. Unlike other fighting game franchises Mortal Kombat has earned it's place in the gaming world and continues to produce quality, updated and entertaining gaming experiences everytime.
